The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Deck Installer to join our team. The Deck Installer will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining outdoor decks for residential and commercial properties. This role requires hands-on carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow blueprints and client specifications to deliver high-quality workmanship.
Your Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, assemble, and secure materials to build new decks or repair existing structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Select appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for each project.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and building codes.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and machinery safely and effectively.
- Communicate with clients and supervisors to confirm project requirements.
- Perform site preparation, including demolition, grading, and cleanup.
- Inspect completed work for quality and durability.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.
Your Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a deck installer, carpenter, or similar construction role.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:
- Experience with different deck materials (wood, composite, vinyl, etc.).
- Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor construction setting, exposed to varying weather conditions.
- Requires physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Schedule: A stable, Monday-Friday schedule.
- Training: Factory training and OSHA certification.
